There is nothing more pleasant than the mellow effect of a real wood floor. It is no wonder that so many home owners are pulling back the carpet to check the original floor boards.
Whether wood conjures up memories from childhood of sitting in our tree house or visiting an elderly relative in a tiny cottage or being regaled by the odour of burning logs while walking along a country lane with a sweetheart it is generally agreed that much that we come to enjoy and respect later in life has a root in our early memories.
Monkland Floor Care offers a completely unique service to those who are seriously considering pulling back the carpet. We have dedicated our business to education. We offer practical advice to those considering whether they should have their floors refurbished or refinished.
We have no hidden agenda as we only specialise in restoration. We do not sell or install new flooring. If you are unsure whether you could live with wood floors we will not only set-out the positive aspects of living with natural surfaces but we will also objectively put forward the alternatives.
Some floors will never restore to an acceptable finish. We would prefer that we are not asked to refinish them when that is the case. We are aware that for some, the prospect of a natural floor becomes so intense that their excitement clouds their judgement. We do our best to help keep their feet firmly on the ground.
Remember - not all floors require re-sanding.
